Firstly – thank you to every driver and their family for committing to racing at the Perth Motorplex for Round 3 of the JSRA Metropolitan Series this weekend. With twenty cars, we have the largest field of any division and have a great opportunity to showcase how awesome junior sedan racing can be.
This weekend will require the support of everyone to ensure we do our bit to make the event flow well. Please take note of the timing below and ensure you are organised for each event.
All drivers will have two heat races and a final. The field of twenty has been split into two heats per round. Top Star drivers will start from the front of the heats, with the five new stars at the back of each heat (3 in the first heat of the round and 2 in the other).

2.30pm
Competitor Gates Open
Please ensure you park in your designated (A Pit Layout will be shared by Motorplex Management and will be shared on our page). You must also use a pit sheet (tarp) to park your car on and please remember to pile excess clay and not leave it all over the grass.
Scrutineering will open – please ensure your car is presented to a high standard to showcase our division, remove your bonnet and boot (if required) and drive slowly around the fence and line up to go through the scrutineering shed.
4.15pm
Drivers Meeting – this will be held in the demountable building behind the toilets and medical centre. Please be dressed in your race suit and arrive on time. If you would like to test your One-Way, please bring it with you.
4.45pm (5.05pm – Heat One | 5.10pm – Heat Two)
ALL drivers start preparing for their first heat races.
ET (Perth Motorplex Pit Marshall) will advise of which staging lane to begin lining up in. Please make sure you move to this area as quickly as possible. If you are late, you will miss your heat.
6.00pm (6.20pm – Heat Three | 6.30pm – Heat Four)
ALL drivers start preparing for the second round of heats.
Once again, please move to your staging lane as soon as possible.
7.20pm (7.40pm – Final)
ALL drivers start preparing for the Junior Sedan Final.
Move to the advised staging lane, as quickly as possible.
Presentations:
If you are lucky enough to finish in the Top Three of the Final – please remember that this is a great opportunity to not only thank your personal sponsors and supporters, but also to thank the venue for welcoming us back for the season. Remember that you are not only representing yourself, but our club and division.
At the end of the final, don’t forget to return your transponder to the scrutineering shed. If you forget, you will be called and asked to return it to the venue. A good way to remember is to take it straight off and back to the shed as soon as you return to the pits.
