Pre-season Update

jsra-logo-transWith the start of the 2017/2018 Junior Speedway Racing Association (JSRA) season only a couple of weeks away, the committee have been working extremely hard preparing for another big season. In this media release we have some important information for all of our members to please take note of.

1. If you haven’t already, please make sure you have sent in your completed membership forms and payment to ensure you are eligible for season points. If you are not a financial member, you will not receive points until your membership is paid.

2017/2018 JSRA Membership Form

2. If you have submitted your membership forms and have paid for a season poster, please make sure you send a photo of your car to [email protected] no later than Saturday October 7 2017. If we have not received your photo by this time, it will not be included on this seasons poster.

3. As many people would be aware, this year we will host Team New Zealand for the Australia vs New Zealand Challenge and Australasian Championship at Moora and Esperance Speedways. We still need to fill spots in Team Australia for this and are asking for anyone that would be interested to get in touch with JSRA President Adam Arnold as soon as possible. We need to finalise our team as soon as possible, so please don’t delay in expressing your interest.

4. Nominations are now being called for Round 1 of the JSRA Metropolitan Series to be held at Ellenbrook Speedway on Saturday October 7th. Nominations are to be completed via the RDA Ellenbrook Speedway website (Please follow the link below).

5. Nominations are also open for Round 1 of the JSRA Country Super Series to be held at Makit Hardware Narrogin Speedway on Saturday October 21st. To nominate for this event please head to the JSRA Website or follow the link below to complete the nomination form.

2017/2018 Season Preview

jsra-logo-transWith the 2017/2018 summer speedway season fast approaching, the Junior Speedway Racing Association (JSRA) committee have been working hard to prepare for another huge season of Junior Sedan racing in Western Australia.

The ultra-competitive JSRA Country Super Series will once again return and will be run over seven rounds at a number of different venues throughout Western Australia.

2017/2018 JSRA Country Super Series
Round 1 – 21st of October 2017 – Makit Hardware Narrogin Speedway
Round 2 – 25th of November 2017 – Kalgoorlie International Speedway
Round 3 – 16th of December 2017 – Geraldton City Speedway
Round 4 – 10th of February 2018 – Quit Collie Speedway
Round 5 – 3rd of March 2018 – McD Contracting Esperance Speedway
Round 6 – 7th of April 2018 – Southern Forest Machinery Raceway, Manjimup
Round 7 – 12th of May 2018 – Pithara Speedway

A revised Metropolitan Series will take place at two different venues in season 2017/2018 after some changes in scheduling at the Perth Motorplex for the new season. Series dates are as follows:

2017/2018 JSRA Metropolitan Series
Round 1 – 7th of October 2017 – Ellenbrook Speedway
Round 2 – 4th of November 2017 – Perth Motorplex
Round 3 – 13th of January 2018 – Perth Motorplex
Round 4 – Date TBA – Ellenbrook Speedway

In 2017/2018, we will once again see the return of Team New Zealand to WA shores to take on our very own Team Australia in the teams challenge and Australasian Junior Sedan Championships.

Australia vs New Zealand Team Challenge – 4th of March 2018 – McD Contracting Esperance Speedway
Australasian Junior Sedan Championship – 10th of March 2018 – Moora Speedway

We are very excited for the upcoming season and look forward to seeing some top quality junior sedan racing. We hope to see some familiar and new faces at race tracks in summer this season.
